Henkel Corporation has introduced Frekote® 710LV™, a proprietary semi-permanent release agent formulated using low VOC solvents.  This product is designed to provide multiple releases on high performance composite structures such as those used in aerospace applications.

Frekote® 710LV™ can be applied and cured at room temperature with no sealer required.  A thin, even coat of the product can be sprayed or wiped on so that mold surfaces are uniformly wet.  A minimum of four coats of Frekote® 710LV™ should be applied before a mold is used.  Recommended dry time between coats is 5 minutes. 

Frekote® 710LV™ fully cures in 30 minutes at 77ºF.  Touch up coats should only be applied to areas exhibiting poor release characteristics to minimize buildup.  Frekote® 710LV™ may be used for molding composites at 250ºF or 350ºF cure temperatures.  Molded surfaces may be painted with minimal preparation.

This environmentally compliant product contains no CFCs and may be stored at room temperature for up to 12 months.  Frekote® 710LV™ is available in cases containing four (4) one-gallon bottles, five (5) gallon pails, and convenient application wipes.
